Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team won its second match in a row at home this week, sweeping Purchase College, 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-11), this evening at the West Quad Center. Brooklyn improves to 4-3 overall with the non-conference victory handing Purchase its first loss of the season as they drop to 3-1. The Bulldogs open CUNYAC play this weekend in a conference trimatch hosted by Hunter College. BC will take on Lehman College at 12pm followed by the host at 2pm.
Match Summary
-Brooklyn set the tone from the opening serve, jumping out to 17-6 lead to start the match following a seven-point rally capped by a kill put away by freshman outside hitter,
Alejandra Chen. Chen finished with six kills on the night.
-Purchase hung in with the Bulldogs in the early stages of the second set before BC unleashed a 13-point rally to take a 24-10 lead.
-The Bulldogs jumped out to a 5-0 lead to start the third game, and extended their lead to 12-2 early on. BC never looked back scoring four of the last five points of the match.
-The Bulldogs hit .202 as a team to Purchase's -.183.
-BC served up eight aces to PC's four.

Ezri Shor had a match-high 16 assists to go along with a match-high four service aces and six kills. She also had a match-high 11 digs.
