New York, NY---The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team came out with a split to start CUNYAC play this afternoon. BC rolled to a 3-0 (25-8, 25-8, 25-11) sweep of Lehman College to start their day, but fell to host, Hunter College, 3-0 (25-20, 25-12, 25-14), in the final match of the day. The Bulldogs move to 5-4 overall and 1-1 in conference with the two decisions. Next, the Bulldogs will take on St. Joseph's Brooklyn on Tuesday, September 16, at 6pm on the road.
Match Summary vs. Lehman
-BC jumped out to an 11-2 lead to start the match and never looked back.
-The Bulldogs finished with 11 services aces to the Lightning's zero.
-Nine different Bulldogs managed at least one kill for the match.

Match Summary vs. Hunter
-The Bulldogs hung in with the defending CUNYAC champs halfway through the first game until the Hawks created some distance thanks to a four-score rally to take a 20-14 lead. Brooklyn chipped away, but Hunter closed out the game on a kill.
-Brooklyn jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the second game, but the Hawks weathered the early storm to retake the lead for good after a four-point run, 7-5. Hunter closed out the game with a six-score rally.
-The Bulldogs jumped out to another early lead, 3-0, to start the third game, but once again the home team responded with a run of its own for the 5-3 advantage. Hunter closed out the match with another late rally.
-Hunter finished with 45 kills to Brooklyn's 22, while hitting .271 for the match.
