BC Falls at Home to Rosemont, 3-1

Brooklyn, NY---It was the tale of two halves for the Brooklyn College women's soccer team this evening, as the Bulldogs dropped a non-conference match at home to Rosemont College, 3-1.  BC moves to 0-4-1 with the loss while the Ravens picked up their first win of the season improving to 1-3.  The Bulldogs open CUNYAC play on Saturday, September 21, against John Jay College.  Kickoff is set for 10:30 am on Randall's Island.  

Match Summary

-A slow start plagued the Bulldogs as the Ravens scored two goals in 3'.  The Ravens took a 3-0 lead in 30'.  
-Just before the half, senior defender, Aycin Yalcin, gave Brooklyn its lone goal of the contest, sliding into a pass dropped off by junior forward, Anna Curran, who recorded her second assist of the year.  
-BC controlled possession in the second half, looking like a completely different team, but wasn't able to capiltalize on scoring opportunities.  


Leading the Bulldogs

-Yalcin had a team-high two shots.
-Senior keeper, Carmen Proffitt, finished with five saves on the evening.  

Leading the Ravens

-Maciano Masseo netted two of RC's three goals in the first half, taking eight shots including five on-goal. 
-Goalie, Emma Lindsay, had a save for the match.
