Brooklyn Falls to John Jay in CUNYAC Opener, 6-0

Randall's Island, NY---The Brooklyn College women's soccer team fell in their conference opener to John Jay College, 6-0, on the road this morning.  Brooklyn drops to 0-5-1 overall with the loss while John Jay improves to 4-3 and 1-0 with the win.  The Bulldogs return their non-conference slate at home on Monday, September 23, against the College of St. Elizabeth at 6:00 pm.  

Match Summary

-Trailing the CUNYAC preseason favorite, 1-0, at the half after a Bloodhound goal in 24', the Bulldogs eventually wore down as John Jay unloaded for five goals in the final 43 minutes of play.  
-John Jay outshot the Bulldogs 23-1 for the match. 
-BC senior goalie, Carmen Proffitt, collected seven saves for the match.  
-John Jays Medina Mulic and Katie Healy net two goals a piece on the morning.  Healy also finished with a pair of assists for six points.
