Brooklyn, NY---Scoring three goals in the second half, the Brooklyn College women's soccer team secured their first win of the season over the College of St. Elizabeth this evening, 4-0.  The win is the program's first under first-year Head Coach, Sebastian Zieba.  Brooklyn moves to 1-5-1 with the wins while the Eagles drop to 0-6 with the loss.  The Bulldogs will look to keep their momentum going on Wednesday, September 25, as they host Medgar Evers in conference match at 6pm at Brooklyn College Field.  

Match Summary

-BC Junior forward, Anna Curran, scored the game-winner in 12' on a shifty change of direction into a shot just outside the top of the box. 
-Junior midfielder, Paulina Vairo, scored her first goal of the season in 58' off of deflection in the box.  
-Sophomore midfielder, Rachel Gomez, netted her third and fourth goals of the season on penalty kicks in 68' and 75' to secure the win.  
-Brooklyn out-shot the Eagles 24-4 for the match.  
-Senior goalie, Carmen Proffitt, recorded her second clean sheet of the season finishing with two saves for the match.
