Brooklyn, NY---In upset fashion, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team knocked off conference leader, Lehman College, 2-1, this afternoon for their first win of the season. It is the Bulldogs' first win over the Lightning since the 2014 Season.  Brooklyn moves to 1-8 and 1-1 in CUNYAC with the win while Lehman moves to 7-3 and 2-1 in conference play.  The Bulldogs will look to keep their momentum going at the College of Staten Island on Wednesday, October 2.  Kickoff is set for 4:00 pm.  

Match Summary

-Brooklyn jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick converted by junior midfielder, Alex Sosa, in 26'.  
-Lehman responded in 38' on a goal off of a BC defender deflection.  
-Sosa  struck again for the game-winner with a pretty in and out move to break himself free for a one-on-one with the goalie, burying a goal into the lower right part of the net.  
-The Bulldogs were able to hold on to their 2-1 halftime lead despite a pressing Lightning squad that had a couple of shots just go high in the final ten minutes of play.
-BC sophomore keeper, Lorenzo Davies, had a solid day making a number of important plays away from the net finishing with a save.
