Langhorne, PA---The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-17) sweep of Cairn University today on the road. BC improves to 10-5 with the win while Cairn drops to 2-13. The Bulldogs will be back in action at home on Thursday, October 3, against Rutgers-Newark at 6pm.
Match Summary
-In each set, the Bulldogs would find themselves in a close game with the Highlanders, but used a few three to four poitn rallies to create some distance and close out every game convincingly.
-BC freshman opposite and reigning CUNYAC Rookie of the Week,
Ashley Fung, led the way with 11 kills. Fellow freshman, outside hitter
Alejandra Chen added 10 kills in the win. Sophomore setter and reigning CUNYAC Player of the Week,
Ezri Shor, set for a team-high 16 assists.
-The Bulldogs finished with seven service aces to the Highlanders' two. Three Bulldogs finished with a pair of service aces each.
-The Highlanders were led by Brie Norton's seven kills. Liz White finished with a match-high 17 assists.
