Patchogue, NY---The Brooklyn College women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision at St. Joseph's College Long Island this evening in its Season Opener. SJCLI improves to 2-0 with the home victory. It was the Bulldogs' first match under the guidance of recently hired Head Coach,
Sebastian Zieba. Brooklyn will have a week to prepare for Bryn Athyn College on September 10.
Match Summary
-The Golden Eagles jumped out to 1-0 start in the first 45 seconds of the match on a cross.
-Brooklyn would settle in defensively for the next 21 minutes until St. Joe's scored its second goal of the half in the 22nd minute.
-The home team scored its third goal of the match eight minutes into the second period and chipped in an extra insurance goal two minutes before the end of regulation.
-St. Joe's out-shot the Bulldogs 16-5 for the match including 12-3 in shots-on-goal.

Carmen Proffitt, finished with a match-high eight saves in all nintey minutes in goal.

-Christina Gagliardi would net two goals on the evening on seven shots.
-Abbey Curcio kicked home the other two goals for the Golden Eagles.
