New York, NY---The Brooklyn College men's basketball team fell in conference play at Baruch College this evening, 86-73, to split with the Bearcats for the regular season. Brooklyn drops to 9-14 overall and 6-6 in CUNYAC with the loss while Baruch improves to 14-9 and 8-5. The Bulldogs will look to snap a five-game skid at regular season CUNYAC champ, John Jay, on Saturday at 3pm.
How It Happened
- Following a made three buried by Brooklyn's Jordan Wright cutting Baruch's lead to 24-20 with 8:24 left in the first half, the Bearcats responded with a 13-2 run to take a 37-22 halftime advantage.
- Brooklyn scored the second half's first bucket on a Noah Shy lay-in before the Bearcats responded with a 5-0 swing capped with a three-point make.
- The Bearcats would go on to lead by as many as 21 points in the second half. Brooklyn made a late run to cut Baruch's lead down to as few as ten points, but ran out of time.
