Bronx, NY---Despite a 22-point effort put out by senior guard,
Anthony McClean, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team dropped their second game in a row, falling to Lehman College, 75-57, on the road tonight in conference play. The Bulldogs to 9-11 overall and 6-5 in the conference with the loss while Lehman improves to 12-9 and 7-4. The Bulldogs will look to bounce back at home this Friday against CCNY at 7:15 pm.
Game Summary
-A back-and-forth game in the early minutes, the Bulldogs went on a 5-0 run to a 19-14 lead with 10:05 left in the first half. The run was capped by a three-point make by McClean.
-With the Bulldogs clinging to a 23-22 lead following a McClean layup, the Lightning went on an 8-0 run to regain the lead for good. The Lightning took a 47-31 halftime with a made three just as time expired in the first half.
-Lehman came out of halftime with a 5-0 run extended their lead to 53-31 with 18:32 left in regulation. Brooklyn responded with an 8-0 thanks to back-to-back three-point makes buried by McClean and a layup finished by junior guard,
Noah Shy, but that is as close as the Bulldogs would get as Lehman kicked their lead up to as many as 23 points later in the half.
