New York, NY----The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team dropped both matches of a CUNYAC trimatch hosted by Hunter College this afternoon. Brooklyn dropped a 3-0 (23-25, 20-25, 11-25) decision to John Jay College in their first match of the day before falling to host Hunter, 3-0 (12-25, 13-25, 12-25), to close out the afternoon. BC drops to 6-10 overall and 1-2 in CUNYAC with the loss. The Bulldogs will look to bounce back in conference play at CCNY on Tuesday at 7pm.
Trimatch Summary
- The Bulldogs battled to the end in the first game against John Jay, deadlocked at 23 before the Bloodhounds out away a kill and followed up with a service ace to take a 1-0 lead in the match. Trailing 18-11 in the second game, the Bulldogs rallied for five straight scores sparked by back-to-back kills hammered home by junior outside hitter, Jasper Diangco. However, the Bloodhounds were able to hold the Bulldogs off enough to grab a 2-0 lead before cruising in the third game for the conference win.
