Brooklyn, NY---After a huge overtime conference opening win at Lehman College on Wednesday, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team suffered a setback this afternoon, falling to Hunter College, 2-0, at home. Brooklyn moves to 1-8 and 1-1 in CUNYAC with the loss while Hunter picked up their first win of the season, improving to 1-7 and 1-1 in the conference. BC will look to bounce back on Wednesday, October 6, against Baruch on Randalls Island at 5pm.
The visitors got off to a quick start, scoring the game-winner in the first minute of play on a Sammy Ahmed goal assisted by Blaise Enama. Enama would be on the receiving end on the Hawks' second goal of the afternoon assisted by Manjiro Nishmura.
Despite being outshot 18-2 for the match, the Hawks were able to hold off the Bulldogs who finished with seven shots-on-goal to Hunter's two that made it to the back of the net.
Hunter goalie, Antony Simos, pitched the shutout with seven saves in all nintey minutes.
