Brooklyn, NY---Playing for the No. 3 seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Championships, the Brooklyn College women's soccer team wasn't able to clinch the spot as Lehman College solidified the position with a 4-1 victory over the Bulldogs on Saturday. BC drops to 1-12 overall and 1-3 in conference play with the loss while the Lightning improves to 5-6 and 2-2. The Bulldogs close out the regular season at home on Tuesday as they host the College of St. Elizabeth at 2pm.
The Lightning struck quickly to start the match, scoring in 2' on Melanie Huerta's first goal of a hat-trick on the afternoon. Lehman's Melanie Siraunula scored the second goal of the match on penalty in 33'. She also assisted on a pair of Huerta goals. Emily Huerta assisted on Huerta's second goal of the match in 53'.
