Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College women's basketball team cruised in the second half to go on to defeat borough foe St. Joseph's Brooklyn 78-53 at the West Quad Center on Tuesday evening. Brooklyn improves to 4-1 with the non-conference win while SJC drops to 0-4. The Bulldogs will look to keep it going at Drew University on Tuesday at 7pm.

Sarah Labiner helped the Bulldogs on the boards with 10 rebounds each.
Leading 14-12, the Bulldogs went on a 6-0 run to take an eight-point lead to end the first period. The rally continued into the second period as the Bulldogs came out of the gate with a 12-0 run. Brooklyn was on cruise control from that point on.
BC turned their defense into offense, scoring 30 points off of the Bears' 21 turnovers. Brooklyn held the Bears to 24.2% shooting from the floor on the night.
