Brooklyn, NY---The Yeshiva Maccabees, ranked #1 in the latest D3Hoops.com national poll, came to West Quad Center Monday and showed some of their ability, knocking off Brooklyn, 94-48.
Brooklyn had some good moments in the first half and took some momentum into the locker room. As the hosts fell behind 41-18, they went on a 7-0 run, and held Yeshiva scoreless for the next 4:48. Unfortunately for BC, Yeshiva's Ofek Reef scored a running layup as the buzzer expired and YU took a 42-25 advantage at the half. The second half belonged to Yeshiva.
Kayin Olajide (12) and
Noah Shy (10) led the Bulldogs on the night.
Yeshiva's Ryan Turell led all scorers with 35 points and 9 rebounds. Yeshiva notched 28 assists as a team on the night.
Brooklyn returns to action on Wednesday night, as they host another non-conference opponent, Farmingdale State, at 7 pm.
