Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Bulldogs Edged at Home by Farmingdale, 66-63

Brooklyn, NY---Never going away until the final buzzer, the Brooklyn College put up a fight but eventually fell to Farmingdale State, 66-63, in non-conference action at the West Quad Center on Wednesday.  BC falls to 1-9 with the loss while Farmingdale improves to 4-5.  Brooklyn will look to bounce back on the road this Saturday at Drew at 3pm.

Trailing by as many as 10 points with 12:23 left in regulation, the Bulldogs went on a 9-0 run sparked by back-to-back three-point makes by sophomore guard, Zuric Harvey, and freshman guard, Jarrid Garcia.  However, the Rams weathered the storm with a 5-0 run to take a 52-46 lead with 5:36 remaining.  Brooklyn cut the lead once again to a point following a three-point make shot by junior guard Kayin Olajide with 1:20 to go in the game.  The Rams would do enough at the free-throw line to close out the game in final minute of play despite a couple of late Brooklyn baskets.

BC senior guard carried the Bulldogs down the stretch, scoring nine points in the final three minutes of play to finish with a game-high 22 points on the evening.

Brooklyn jumped out to a 12-3 lead to start the contest before the visitors erased their lead with a 9-0 run to tie the game with 13:11 left in the first half.  The teams battled for the remainder of the first half with FSC holding on to a 32-30 halftime lead.

FSC finished with a  30-26 edge in point scored in the paint on the evening and 11-5 in second-chance points.  Brooklyn finished with a 9-7 edge in three-point makes on the evening.

Harvey added 12 points and dished out four assists for the Bulldogs and junior forward, Elisha Park also reached double-figures in scoring with 11 points.  FSC's Zamere McKenzie paced the rams with a team-high 18 points while shooting 4-7 from beyond the arc on the night.
