Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College women's soccer team dropped their second match at home Monday evening, falling to Sarah Lawrence, 3-0. BC drops to 0-2 to start the season while the visitors improved 3-1. The Bulldogs are back in action at home on 9/15 as they play host to Rutgers-Newark. Kickoff is set for 4:00 pm.
Despite a solid defensive effort all night by Brooklyn, the Gryphons were able to capitalize off of volume of shots, eventually netting the game-winner in 15'. They would strike a minute later to take a 2-0 advantage.
The Gryphons outshot Brooklyn 26-3 for the match. Including 15-2 in shots on goal.
BC junior goalkeeper,
Angelina Vasta, made an excellent Brooklyn debut, coming away with 12 saves for the match while making a number of key plays away from the goal.
Alexis Valdes had two assists on the night for the Gryphons.
