Randalls Island, NY----Despite a strong second half effort, the Brooklyn College women's soccer team fell short in a non-conference match against St. Joseph's Brooklyn, 2-1, on Monday night on the road. Brooklyn drops to 0-7 overall with the loss while the Bears improve to 4-2-1. The Bulldogs return home on Wednesday, Sept. 29, for another non-conference match against Purchase at 4:30 pm.
Striking first in 33' on a Sabrina Amadio goal, Ashley Vozella scored the game-winner in 56' on an assist from Amadio.
Brooklyn did not go away lightly as sophomore back,
Priscilla Vixama, scored the first goal of her BC career in 64' to give the Bulldogs hope late in the contest. However, the Bears were able to control the pace for the remainder of the match and secure the victory.
