New York, NY---Despite an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double performance by junior forward, Elisha Par, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team dropped a 63-56 conference decision at John Jay on Sunday. The Bulldogs drop to 2-16 overall and 1-7 in CUNYAC while John Jay improves to 6-10 and 4-3 in the conference. Brooklyn will look to avenge the loss in a couple of days when the Bulldogs host the Bloodhounds on Tuesday at the West Quad Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:15 pm following the women's game against John Jay.
On the heels of the home team the majority of the contest, the Bulldogs weren't able to string together that one run that would get them over the hump. Following a 4-0 start to the game for BC, the Bloodhounds responded with an 8-0 run to take the lead for good with 17:27 left in the first half.
Trailing 42-31, the Bulldogs would go on a 9-0 sparked by back-to-back
Kayin Olajide buckets. Olajide finished the game with 12 points off of the bench. Park capped the run with s three-point make, cutting the John Jay lead down to 44-22 with a little over 10 minutes to go in regulation. John Jay would survive the push and kick their lead back up to 10 in the next three minutes of action.
The Bulldogs struggled from the field on the day, shooting 30% including 17% from beyond the arc. John Jay shot 40% for the game.

Zuric Harvey added 15 points to go along with five rebounds and three assists.
Four of five John Jay starters reached double-digit scoring with Danny Kenny and Angel Rivera leading the way with 13 points each.
