Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Bulldogs fell in heart-breaking fashion on Tuesday night, dropping a home conference match-up to the visiting John Jay Bloodhounds, 69-66, in overtime.
Zuric Harvey had a chance to win the game in regulation, as his fall away jumper appeared to be going in, but rimmed out as the buzzer sounded, forcing overtime.
In the extra period, John Jay took a 62-59 lead on an Angel Rivera bucket. Brooklyn could not convert on the next three possessions, including missing two front ends of one and one from the line, and then the game's biggest basket came, as Isaac Holmes knocked down a three-pointer, giving the Bloodhounds a six point advantage, and eventually the game.
All seven players who saw action for Brooklyn scored, while Elisah Park (17) and
Kayin Olajide (16) led the way.
John Jay's Angel Rivera led all scorers with 22 points, while adding 11 boards and 5 assists.
Brooklyn will head to the Bronx on Saturday, taking on the Lehman Lightning at 2 pm.
