Brooklyn Rolls to Conference Sweep at CCNY

New York, NY----The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team rolled closed out their conference slate with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-16) win at CCNY on Tuesday, improving to 6-1 in CUNYAC and 15-12 overall.  CCNY drops to 10-9 overall and 3-4 in CUNYAC.  Next Up: The Bulldogs wrap up the regular season on Senior Night at home on Thursday against Pratt at 7:00 pm.  

The Rundown
  • Back-and-forth to start the opening set, Brooklyn rallied for five straight scores to take a 23-14 lead.  The home team took a stance in the second set, taking the Bulldogs down to the wire.  However, BC was able to take a 2-0 lead in the match on a Tessa Winkleman kill.  Brooklyn jumped out to a 4-0 lead to start the third set and never looked back to close out the match.  
  • Brooklyn hit .155 to the Beavers' .040 on the evening.

  • Winkleman led the way offensively with a match-high 16 kills.  
  • Ashley Fung and Aleah Rafat both had well-rounded evenings finishing with 8 kills each.  Rafat also finished with 12 digs while Fung finished with 11.  
  • Sydney Gdanski set for a team-high 17 assists.

  • Bianka Catral had a team-high 9 kills. 
  • Aubrey Jones set for a match-high 20 assists.
