Bulldogs Pick Up First Win of Season Over Medgar Evers; Tsantsaridis' First as Head Coach

Prospect Park Parade Grounds (Brooklyn, NY)----Led by Rachel Gomez's two goals and two assists, the Brooklyn College women's soccer team picked up their first win of the season in a 7-0 shutout of Medgar Evers in CUNYAC play on Saturday.  Brooklyn moves to 1-10 overall and 1-0 in CUNYAC with the win while the Cougars fall in their season opener.  Next Up: The Bulldogs will look to keep their momentum going at home on Wednesday, October 12, as they host CCNY at 4pm at Brooklyn College Field.

  • Gomez scored her two goals in the first five minutes of the match including the game-winner on a penalty kick in 4'.  
  • Freshman back, Dionesia Payamps, scored the first two goals of her BC career in 12' and 20'.  
  • Senior back, Priscilla Vixama, scored her first goal of the match in 26' to give Brooklyn a 5-0 halftime lead.
