Boston, MA----Despite being tied at the end of the opening period, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team fell to Emmanuel in the final game of their Tip-off Classic, 104-66, on Sunday. Brooklyn drops to 1-3 overall with the non-conference loss while the Saints improved to 3-0. Next Up: The Bulldogs will have the week off before hosting Rutgers-Newark on Nov. 28 at the West Quad Center at 6:00 pm.
The Rundown
- The teams went back-and-forth in the first quarter with the Bulldogs tying the game on an Ericka James three-point make just before time expired.
- Emmanuel made their move in the second period beginning with a 15-5 run. A three-point play completed by senior guard, Nancy Pham, cut the Saints' halftime lead to 58-43.
- The Saints carried their momentum from the second quarter to the third, opening with a 10-2 rally. EC closed out the quarter on a 16-2 run.
- EC's bench out-scored Brooklyn's 45-17.
Leading the Bulldogs
- Pham and senior guard, Gianna Gotti, scored 15 points each on the afternoon. Gotti also dished out 4 assists, came up with 3 steals, and grabbed a team-high 5 boards.
- Senior guard, Dasha Goodman, and sophomore forward, Aleah Rafat, chipped in 10 points each. Goodman knocked down 3 three-pointers including BC's first score of the contest to give the Bulldogs a 3-2 lead early in the first quarter.

- Olivia Matela scored a game-high 22 points, dished out 5 assists, and grabbed 4 rebounds.
