Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College men's basketball team dropped their season opener at the West Quad Center on Tuesday, falling to Montclair State, 93-51. MSU improves to 1-0 with the victory. Next Up: Brooklyn remains home on Thursday for another non-conference bout with Old Westbury. Tip-off is set for 6pm at the West Quad Gymnasium.
The Rundown
- Prior to the contest, the 2020 CUNYAC Championship received their championship rings in front of a packed house at the West Quad Center.
- MSU jumped out on top to start the game before BC forward, Elisha Park, responded with made three to give Boroklyn an early 3-2 lead, which ignited the crowd. A made jumper drained by Zuric Harvey gave BC a 7-4 advantage with 16:48 to go in the first half.
- The Red Hawks would take the lead for good beginning with a 17-0 run. MSU grabbed 53-27 halftime and never looked back.

- Harvey paced Brooklyn with a team-high 14 points.
- Junior guard, Malik Dale, and sophomore guard, David McFadden chipped in nine points each.

- Steven Breeman scored a game-high 20 points while shooting 4-9 from beyond the arc.
- Mike Jackson added 13 points along with seven rebounds.
