Park Drops 23, Men's Hoops Outlasted at Ramapo

Mahwah, NJ----Despite a game-high 23-point effort put forth by senior forward, Elisha Park, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team was outlasted on the road, 83-68, at Ramapo College on Tuesday night.  Brooklyn drops to 2-9 overall with the loss in their last game before the semester break while the Roadrunners improve to 5-5.  Next Up: The Bulldogs wrap up their non-conference slate at home on December 30 at 2pm.  

The Rundown
  • Played evenly through the first 20 minutes of action, a three buried by freshman guard, Franz Depra, had the Bulldogs only 36-34 at the half.  
  • Brooklyn opened the second half with a 9-1 run on three straight three-point makes, giving the Bulldogs a 43-38 advantage with 17:30 to go.  The Bulldogs would maintain a one to two possession lead for the next four minutes of play until the Roadrunners went on a 6-0 to retake the lead for good with 12:50 to go in regulation.  
  • A three splashed by junior guard, Malik Dale, cut the home team's lead down to 60-58 with10:23 left in the contest.  However, that is as close as Brooklyn would get as Ramapo closed out the game with their largest lead of the game.  
  • BC shot 12-24 from behind the arc on the evening.
  • Ramapo forced 14 Brooklyn turnovers while only commiting 8 as a team.  
Leading the Bulldogs
  • Park shot 7-12 from the field including 3-6 from three and grabbed 7 boards.  
  • Sophomore guard, David McFadden added 14 points and dished out 3 assists.  
  • Senior guard, Kayin Olajide chipped 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.  
Leading Ramapo
  • Peter Gorman scored a team-high 22 points and dished out 10 assists.  
  • Shane Rooney also finished with a duble-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds.  He also dished out 7 assists.
