Gianna Gotti, scored a game-high 27 points in the BC Women's Basketball team's CUNYAC Opening win over Lehman, 88-55, on Friday. BC improves to 3-4 overall with the win while Lehman drops to 2-3. Next Up: BC returns to their non-conference slate at Drew on Tuesday, December 6, at 7pm.
The Rundown
- BC closed out the first period with a 5-0 run to take their first double-digit lead of the game, 18-8.
- Leading 26-16 with 6:40 to go in the first half, the Bulldogs scored nine unanswered points capped by a made lay-in finished by Gotti. BC would head into halftime with a 43-21 advantage following a fastbreak lay-up finished by Dior Dorsey.
- Lehman made one last stand in the third quarter, cutting BC's lead to as few as 13 points. However, the Bulldogs responded with a 6-0 run to kick their lead back up to 19 with 2:50 to go in the third quarter.
- Brooklyn rolled in the final period, going on a 9-0 during a two-minute span. The Bulldogs finished the contest with their largest lead of the game.
- BC forced 31 Lightning turnovers, capitalizing on 32 points.
