Radnor, PA----In a close non-conference game throughout, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team wasn't break through on the road, falling at Cabrini University, 75-67, on Friday. BC moves to 4-7 overall with the loss while Cabrini improves 3-9, snapping a seven-game losing streak. Next Up: Brooklyn returns to CUNYAC play on Tuesday, January 3, against John Jay in a rematch of last season's conference championship game. Tip-off is set for 5pm at the West Quad Gymnasium.
The Rundown
- Trailing 48-38 with 4:20 left in the third quarter, the Bulldogs took their first lead since early in the first quarter thanks to a 15-2 run capped by a made three drained by sophomore forward, Mary Dolgin, giving BC a 53-50 advantage heading into the final period.
- The home team opened the fourth quarter with a 13-0 run before Brooklyn senior guard, Ericka James, put an end to the rally with a made jumper with 5:34 left in regulation. BC would cut the Cavs lead to as few as five points twice in the game's final three minutes, but that is as close as they would get.
- Brooklyn dug themselves out of a nine-point hole early in the second quarter, cutting the Cavs' lead to 26-25 with 2:11 to go in the first half following a Gianna Gotti make from the charity stripe. However, the Cavs kicked their halftime lead to up 34-27 following a made three just before time expired in the half.
- The Bulldogs had a tough afternoon offensively on the afternoon, shooting 29.3% from the field including 18.5% from behind the arc for the game. Cabrini shot just over 41% from the field as team for the game.
- Brooklyn forced 21 Cabrini turnovers while only committing 11.

- Gotti led the way with a double-double, finishing with a game-high 28 points and 12 rebounds. She also dished out 6 assists and came up with 6 steals.
- Dolgin added 14 points off of the bench.
- Sarah James grabbed 10 rebounds.

- Abby Paolini scored a team-high 16 points and dished out 6 assists.
- Miranda Liebtag grabbed a game-hogh 16 rebounds and scored 12 points for Cabrini's double-double.
