Brooklyn, NY---Winning their third straight non-conference match at home, the Brooklyn College men's volleyball team completed a 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-22) sweep of Sarah Lawrence College on Friday at the West Quad Center. BC improves to 3-2 overall with the win while Sarah Lawrence drops to 0-3. The Bulldogs have a quick turnaround with a non-conference trimatch at St. Joseph's Long Island on Saturday where they will take on the host at 10am and Drew University at 12pm.
Leading 10-7, the Bulldogs blew the first set wide open with a six-score rally. The Bulldogs went on two key runs late in the second set to grab a 23-16 advantage after being tied with the Gryphons, 15-15. Brooklyn survived another scare in the third set, tied 19-19, the Bulldogs strung together three straight kills for some breathing room to eventually close out the match on a kill put away by Fidel Maldonado.
Zhao Ming Li led the Way for Brooklyn with 11 kills.
Omar Rezika added nine kills for BC.
Brian Fok set for a match-high 33 assists.
Jasper Diangco led Brooklyn on the ground with a match-high 12 digs.
Sarah Lawrence was led by Nate Davis' team-high 11 kills.
