New York, NY---After reaching the century mark at home on Wednesday, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team suffered offensive woes on the road on Friday, falling at CCNY, 62-51. Brooklyn drops to 3-20 overall and 2-11 in CUNYAC with the conference loss while the Beavers improve to 7-15 and 3-10. The Bulldogs will look to close out the regular season with a win at York on Tuesday. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm.
A close game throughout, the Bulldogs were never able to grab lead. Brooklyn freshman guard,
David McFadden, cut the Beavers' lead to 17-16 with 8:59 to go in the first half before CCNY went on an 8-0 run. Brooklyn would trail 33-20 at the half.
Brooklyn rallied late, cutting the CCNY lead to 54-49 with three minutes to go in regulation, but the Beavers responded with back-to-back scores to kick their lead back up to nine with under a minute to go.
CCNY shot 11-13 from the charity stripe to the Bulldogs' 6-12 on the night.
BC was led by
Noah Shy's team-high 14 points. Junior guard,
Kayin Olajide, grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds.
CCNY was led by Daniel Piszczatowski's game-high 18 points.
