New York, NY----The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team dropped their third straight conference match on Tuesday evening, falling at Hunter College, 3-0 (25-10, 25-18, 25-13). Brooklyn moves to 4-10 overall and 1-4 in CUNYAC while the Hawks improve to 5-6 and 4-1. The Bulldogs will have the next three days to prepare for conference leader, Baruch, on Saturday at the West Quad Center at noon.
BC outside hitter,
Darren Roach, led the offensive attack for the Bulldogs finishing with a team-high seven points and seven kills. Senior middle hitters
David Li and Fidel Maldonado contributed three kills each on the evening.
Zhao Ming Li led Brooklyn on the ground defensively finishing with a team-high nine digs.
Hunter jumped out to a 9-2 lead to start the match and never looked back in the first set. BC was able to keep it close early in the second set before the home team went on a 7-0 rally to take a 23-15 advantage. The Hawks cruised in the third set beginning with an 11-0 run after Brooklyn scored the first point.
The Hawks put away 36 kills on the evening while hitting .329 as a team. Brooklyn finished with 17 kills on .-051hitting.
Hunter was led by Ted Kim's match-high 11 kills.
