New York, NY---The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team dropped a three-set decision, 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-18), on the road in conference play at CCNY on Saturday. BC falls to 5-13 overall and 2-7 in CUNYAC with the loss while the Beavers improve to 11-6 and 6-5 in the conference. Brooklyn will look to bounce back on Monday at York for a conference match makeup at 7pm.
BC middle hitter,
Omar Rezika, led the way offensively for the Bulldogs finishing with 8.5 points on seven kills, a service ace, and a block assist. Fellow middle hitter, Fidel Maladonado Jr. put away five kills on the afternoon.
Darren Roach finished with a team-high six digs on the ground defensively.
The home team gained control of the match from the opening serve, jumping out to an 11-0 lead in the first set. CCNY hit .298 for the match to the Bulldogs' .069.
CCNY was led by Xhulio Myftari's match-high 17 kills.
