Randalls Island, NY----After picking up their first two conference wins of the season at home over York yesterday, the Brooklyn College softball team dropped a pair of CUNYAC games at Hunter on Friday. The Hawks jumped out to sizable leads in both games, take the first, 13-0 (5 Innings), and the second game of the day, 10-0 (5 Innings). BC moves to 4-18 overall and 2-14 in CUNYAC play with the losses while Hunter improves to 13-9 and 12-0. The Bulldogs will look to bounce back at York on Wednesday with the first game of a conference double bill beginning at 2pm.
In Game 1, the home team jumped out to a 12-0 lead after two innings of play and never looked back. BC's
Stella Witkowski managed the Bulldogs' only hit of the game in the top of the third, going 1-2 on the game. Hunter starting pitcher, T'ea Panagakos earned the win yielding the one hit. Sophia Perez went 4-4 for the Hawks with a double and a homer.
Hunter got out to another big lead in the early innings, scoring seven runs in the bottom of the first. Brooklyn's
Chanel Jemmott managed the Bulldogs' lone hit on the game to leadoff the fifth inning. Leah Dillon picked up the win for Hunter in all five innings of work finishing with seven strikeouts. Four Hawks went 2-3 in Game 2, Four Hawks went 2-3 for the game with Nicole Bowe knocking a pair of doubles.
