Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team wasn't able to pick up their third straight win on Thursday, falling at Pratt, 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-23). Brooklyn moves to 3-3 with the non-conference loss while the Cannoneers improve to 5-2. Next Up: The Bulldogs will have their chance to avenger tonight's loss as they take on Pratt again and St. Joseph's Long Island in a non-conference trimatch at St. Joe's on Saturday.
The Rundown
- Brooklyn relinquished a 17-11 lead in the opening set as Pratt rallied for nine straight scores to take the lead for good and take a 1-0 advantage in the match. The Bulldogs seemed to bounce back to start the second, jumping out to a 4-0 lead. However, the home team clawed their way back into the set and after a four-score flurry, took a 23-15 lead. BC jumped out early again in the third set, grabbing a 10-4 advantage before Pratt went on a 7-0 run to lead 11-10. The teams exchanged short runs and leads until Pratt put away a pair of kills for a 24-21 advantage.
