Newark, NJ----The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball closed out their most recent road swing on Tuesday defeating Rutgers-Newark, 3-1 (25-18, 20-25, 25-20, 25-18), for their second straight win. BC improves to 5-4 overall with the non-conference win while the Scarlet Raiders drop to 0-6. Next Up: The Bulldogs will look to keep their momentum going at home on Thursday as BC hosts Farmingdale at the West Quad Center at 6pm.
The Rundown
- Brooklyn got out to a good start right off of the bus, beginning with 3-0 run to open the match and running away with the first set. However, the home team responded in the second set thanks to a nine-score rally. The Bulldogs returned to form in the third set, taking a 9-3 lead and never looking back. Brooklyn was in full control of the match once they grabbed a 14-8 lead following a 6-0 run in the fourth and final set.
- BC finished with 41 kills as a team to the Scarlet Raiders' 30 while hitting .214 to the host's .074.
