Hoboken, NJ----The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team's win-streak ended at three today as the Bulldogs dropped both matches at the Stevens Red and Gray Invitational. Brooklyn fell to Manhattanville, 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-16), in their first match of the day before being stopped the host, Stevens, 3-0 (25-17, 25-11, 25-15). Brooklyn returns to .500 (6-6) with the pair of non-conference losses. Manhattanville improved to 8-2 and Stevns moved to 12-4 in victory. Next Up: Brooklyn returns home on Monday for a non-conference match against Maritime at the West Quad Center at 6pm.
The Rundown
- Manhattanville finished with 42 kills to the Bulldogs' 22 while hitting .330 to BC's .151. The Valiants also served up 16 aces for the match. Brooklyn jumped out to a 4-0 lead to start the second, but the Valiants clawed their back and after 8 unanswered scores took control of the match for good.
- Despite some resistance in the opening set, the home put together a number of scoring clusters throughout the match to keep Brooklyn at bay. Stevens hot .303 for the match to the Bulldogs' .000.
