Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College women's volleyball rolled to a non-conference sweep of Maritime at the West Quad Center on Monday night, 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-16). BC improves to 7-6 overall with the win while Maritime drops to 2-3. Next Up: Brooklyn travels to New Jersey City University for a non-conference match this Thursday at 7pm.
The Rundown
- Back-and-forth to start the match before Brooklyn went on a 5-0 run to take a 16-13 and lead for good and take the first set. Brooklyn got out to 10-5 lead to start the second set and never looked back. The Bulldogs was on cruise control most of the way through the third set, taking a 19-7 lead before Maritime strung a aces aces together towards the end of the set. Brooklyn closed out the match on a kills put away by junior outside hitter, Ashley Fung.
- Brooklyn served up 15 aces as a team on the night to the Privateers' eight.
