Brooklyn, NY----BC Women's Volleyball dropped their Home Opener on Tuesday, 3-0, to USMMA.  The Bulldogs move to 1-2 overall with the non-conference loss while the Mariners picked up a season opening win.  Next Up: BC continues their home stand on Thursday against Purchase College at 7pm.  

The Rundown

• The visitors rolled in the first two sets, stringing together multiple four-score rallies to go up 2-0.  
• Brooklyn found their rhythm in the third set, taking a 22-20 lead down the stretch.  However, the Mariners rallied for three straight scores before the teams exchanged leads, sending the set into multiple 'deuce' situations.  USMMA closed out the match on a kill and a Brooklyn attacking error.  
• USMMA finished with 44 kills to the Bulldogs' 24 while.

• Tessa Winkleman and Chidera Nwaghanata led the way offensively with 5 kills each. 
• Zoey Van Vleet finished with a team-high 12 digs. 
• Aleah Rafat had a match-high 3 blocks. 

Leading the Mariners

• Paige Smith put away a match-high 16 kills. 
• Claire Hyun set for a match-high 35 assists.
