Brooklyn, NY----Trailing by 23 points at halftime, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team stormed back in the second half to pull within a point, but eventually fell to CUNYAC foe, Hunter College, 75-71, at the West Quad Center on Friday night. Brooklyn drops to 3-12 overall and 1-4 in CUNYAC with the loss while Hunter moves to 5-11 and 2-3 respectively. Next Up: BC continues their conference slate at CCNY on Wednesday at 7pm.
The Rundown
- Down 68-51 with a little over 10 minutes to play in regulation, the Bulldogs went on an 18-2 run highlighted by a five point swing produced by junior guard, Malik Dale, on a made three and fastbreak layup. A made three buried by sophomore guard, David McFadden, cut Hunter's lead down to 70-68, with 2:50 remaining. After a stop on the defensive end, Elisha Park split a trip at the foul line to help the Bulldogs pull within a point with just under two minutes to play. However, a Hawks' three on the ensuing possession put Brooklyn on their heels and Hunter eventually closed out the contest with a pair of makes from the charity stripe to close out the game.
