Bulldogs Fall Short at CCNY

New York, NY---The Brooklyn College men's basketball team fell short in conference play at CCNY, 80-64, on Wednesday.  BC drops to 3-13 overall and 1-5 in CUNYAC with the loss while CCNY remains perfect in conference play (6-0) and 11-6 overall.  Next Up: Brooklyn will look to bounce back in conference play at York on Friday at 7pm.  

The Rundown
  • Falling behind 8-0 to start the game, Brooklyn trailed by as many as 18 points in the first half before cutting the home team's lead down to 46-35 at halftime thanks in part to an 8-0 produced by senior guard, Kayin Olajide, on a pair of threes and a layup.  
  • The Bulldogs cut the Beavers' advantage down to 57-50 following a make in the paint put away by junior guard, Serge Thraysbule, with 10:37 remaining in regulation.  However CCNY responded with a 6-0 run with 3:51 left in the game to kick their lead back up to 15 points.  
  • Both teams shot the ball well from behond the arc on the night with CCNY finishing with a 44% to 40% edge.  
  • CCNY made 21 free throws to BC's 10 for the game.  
Leading the Bulldogs
  • Olajide finished with a team-high 21 points while shooting 4-8 from behind the arc.  He also grabbed a team-high 7 rebounds.
  • Sophomore guard, David McFadden chipped in 11 points while shooting 2-3 from behind the arc.  
  • Thraysbule added 10 points before fouling out.  
Leading CCNY
  • Nana Oteng scored a game-high 25 points while shooting 5-8 from three-point land.  
  • Daniel Piszczatowski added 18 points while shooting 3-5 from three.
