Bulldogs Roll to Ninth Straight Win at John Jay, Gotti Pours in 38 Points

New York, NY----Paced by Gianna Gotti's career-high 38 points, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team rolled to their ninth straight win at John Jay on Tuesday, 74-57.  BC improves to 13-7 overall and remains perfect (10-0) in conference play while the Bloodhounds drop to 13-8 and 7-3.  The win marks the program's 40th straight victory against CUNYAC opponents. Next Up: Brooklyn will look to keep things rolling at Lehman College on Saturday for their third straight conference game on the road at 2pm.  

The Rundown
  • Trailing the home team 8-7 with 2:32 left in the opening quarter, Brooklyn closed out the period with a 6-0 run started by a three-point play completed by Gotti.  Senior guard, Nancy Pham, capped the run with a made three.  
  • Brooklyn continued to cruise through the rest of the first half, grabbing a 48-22 halftime lead.  The Bulldogs would go on to lead by as many as 31 points early in the second half.  
  • The Bulldogs took advantage of John Jay's 27 turnovers, scoring 38 points.  
  • BC knocked down 11 threes for the game to the Bloodhounds' two.

  • Gotti scored 26 of her 38 points in the first half.  She also dished out 7 assists, came up with 8 steals, and grabbed 5 rebounds for the game.  
  • Senior guard, Ericka James, added 16 points while draining 4 threes on the night.  
  • Senior firward, Sarah James, grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.
