New York, NY----Winner of two of their last three matches, the Brooklyn College women's volleyball team wasn't able to overcome a slow start at John Jay on Thursday, falling to the Bloodhounds, 3-0 (25-9, 25-14, 25-16), in conference play. Brooklyn moves to 8-10 overall and 3-3 in CUNYAC with the loss while John Jay improves to 15-2 and 5-0 respectively.

How It Happened
- The Bloodhounds jumped out to a 16-3 lead to start the match.
- Brooklyn seemed to have collected themselves, scoring the first two points of the second set. However, the home team rallied for six straight scores with the set tied, 4-4, to take the lead for good.
- Once again, the Bulldogs scored the first two points of third set beginning with an ace served up by sophomore setter, Amra Mulic. Trailing 3-2, John Jay scored 10 of the next 12 points scored for the cushion needed to close out the match.
- John Jay finished with 40 kills to the Bulldogs' 11 on the evening. The Bloodhounds' Josanne Lewis led the way with a match-high 13 kills.
- BC finished with a 5-1 advantage in blocks.
