Bronxville, NY----Looking to get back on track, the Brooklyn College women's volleyball team fell at Sarah Lawrence in three sets, 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-19), in non-conference play on Sunday.  Brooklyn drops to 8-11 overall with the loss while the Gryphons improve to 8-7.

• The Bulldogs travel up to Purchase College on Friday, October 20, for a non-conference match at 7pm. 

How It Happened

• Leading 11-9 in the opening set, the home team rattled off eight straight scores for a commanding 19-9 advantage. 
• With the Bulldogs leading 13-12 in the second set, Sarah Lawrence rallied for 10 straight points leading to a 2-0 advantage in the match. 
• The teams went back-and-forth halfway through the third set before the Gryphons went on crucial 4-0 run including  pair of kills and a pair service aces for the cushion they needed to close out the match. 
• Sarah Lawrence hit .202 as a team to the Bulldogs' .048 for the match. 

For the Bulldogs

• Senior outside hitter, Ashley Fung, led the way with a team-high 7 kills and came up with 9 digs.
• Senior setter, Katia Mercado, finished with team-highs in assists (13) and service aces (3).
