BC Edges Pratt in Tight Duel at Home 1-0

BROOKLYN, New York --- Coming into Thursday evening's non-conference makeup game, the Brooklyn College men's soccer team looked to extend its undefeated streak, two wins and one draw, to four games. After previously tying 1-1 in their first encounter last year, the Brooklyn College Bulldogs got their first victory over the Pratt Institute Cannoneers ever by a score of 1-0. The Bulldogs improve to 4-9-1 overall, while the Cannoneers drop to 1-10-0 overall.

How It Happened: 

  • Pratt outshot Brooklyn 9 shots to 7 but remained even at the half 0-0 

  • Senior midfielder, Melvin Saeteros, would curve a shot into the right woodwork in what would be the best chance that the Bulldogs had up until that point in 53' 

  • The Bulldogs finally broke through thanks to a goal from Christopher Renna off a George Koufos assist in 76' 

  • Despite being outshot 19 shots to 15 in the game, the Bulldogs had 8 shots on target versus 5 from the Cannoneers

  • Freshman midfielder, George Koufos also recorded 3 shots, 2 on target, to go along with his 8th assist of the season to lead all Bulldogs' players
