Newark, NJ----Bouncing back from their first loss of the season on Wednesday, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team rolled to a big road win at Rutgers-Newark, 71-51, on Friday with four Bulldogs finishing with double-figures in scoring. BC improves to 2-1 while the Scarlet Raiders drop to 1-3.

How it Happened
- Leading 35-30 with 7:29 to go in the third period, Brooklyn went on a 6-0 run to take an 11-point advantage following a jumper drained by Alina Estrella. BC would go on to lead by as many as 18 points in the third period after an Aleah Rafat made jumper.
- Brooklyn maintained a double-digit hold on the Scarlet Raiders through the fourth period, leading by as many as 23 points following an Anna Kitch three-point make.
- Kitch gave Brooklyn the lead for good with 5:51 to go in the opening period on a two-point make.
- BC senior guard, Ericka James, drained a key three with 1:11 remaining in the first half, to give Brooklyn a 27-19 lead.
- The Bulldogs' bench outscored Rutgers-Newark's 39-21. Brooklyn also outscored the Scarlet Raiders 17-6 in points off of turnovers.
For the Bulldogs
- Estrella led the way with a team-high 15 points on 6-10 (2-4 3fg) shooting from the field, dished out seven assists, and came up with five rebounds.
- Ericka James added 13 points and grabbed five rebounds.
- Kitch and sophomore guard, Dior Dorsey, scored 11 points each. Dorsey came up with five steals.
- Senior forward, Sarah James, grabbed a game-high 14 boards to go along with six points.
