How It Happened
  • Taking the lead from the opening tip-off, Brooklyn jumped out to a 11-2 advantage capped by a made three buried by Anna Kitch with 6:51 to go in the first quarter.  The home team didn't pose much of a threat as Brooklyn would go on to lead by as many as 15 points in the first half before heading into halftime with a 34-20 advantage.
  • Brooklyn continued their momentum into the second half and following a fast break layup finished by sophomore guard, Dior Dorsey, BC found themselves up 43-20 with 5:44 to go in the third quarter.
  • The Bears would cut BC's lead to as few as ten points in the first minute of the fourth quarter.  However, the Bulldogs responded with an 8-1 run including five straight points scored by James capped at the seven-minute mark.  BC closed out the game with a double-figure lead from that point on.
  • Brooklyn held the Bears to 2-13 shooting from behind the arc for the game and outscored St. Joe's 16-2 in second chance points.
For the Bulldogs
  • Scoring her 1,000th point as a Bulldog on a free throw in the fourth quarter, James knocked down a pair of threes and grabbed five boards in the win.
  • Junior guard, Alina Estrella, added 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double. She also came up with four steals.
  • Senior forward, Sarah James, grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to go along with scoring seven points.
