Hackettstown, NJ----Despite coming back from being down by 11 points early in the second half, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team just wasn't able to get over that hump down the stretch, eventually falling at Centenary University, 60-58, on Monday. BC moves to 3-2 overall with the non-conference loss while the Cyclones improve to 5-1.

How It Happened
- Trailing 32-21 with 9:43 to go in the third quarter, the Bulldogs went on a 12-0 run highlighted by a pair of three point makes buried by senior guard, Ericka James,as Brooklyn took their first lead of the contest with 5:37 remaining. Junior guard, Suliat Afolabi also made a three during the run. However, the home team counter with a 7-0 run to close out the quarter.
- With the Bulldogs trailing 56-52, BC freshman guard, Anna Kitch, knocked down a three to cut the Cyclone lead down to one with 1:13 remaining in regulation. Centenary was able to hold on in the final minute of play thanks to a stop on the defensive end and back-to-back successful trips to the charity stripe.
- Brooklyn trailed by as many as 13 points in the first half before going on a 12-2 run highlighted by an Alina Estrella three-point make. The Bulldogs would head into halftime facing a 30-21 deficit.
- Centenary's bench outscored the Bulldogs' 23-12 for the game.
- Brooklyn held the Cyclones to 15% shooting from beyond the arc for the night.
- CU's Brie Opdyke and Vatijah Davis combined for 48 points with Opdyke finishing with 20.

- Estrella, a junior guard, finished with a season-high 20 points and grabbed four rebounds.
- Ericka James added 13 points and grabbed eight boards.
- Senior forward, Sarah James, grabbed a game-high 18 rebounds to go along with six points.
- Senior forward, Ayomide Adeoye, scored eight points off of the bench on 3-4 shooting from the floor.
