Union, NJ----Despite a 32-point performance produced by junior guard,
Malik Dale, the Brooklyn College men's basketball team dropped their last non-conference game of the regular season at Kean University, 90-72, on Monday. BC falls to 1-11 overall with the loss while the Cougars improved to 6-3.

How It Happened
- Brooklyn would fall behind 5-0 to start the contest before eventually tying the game, 11-11, on three-point make drained by junior guard, Aaron Davis with 14:31 remaining in the first half. The home team would retake the lead for the remainder of the game a little over a minute later, growing their advantage to as many as 16 points in the first half.
- Trailing by 13 points at halftime, Brooklyn cut the Cougar lead to as few as ten points, 47-37, in the second half following a Dale fast-break finish in the paint with 16:42 left in regulation. However, Kean responded with a 5-0 run and went on to lead by as many as 23 points in the second half.
- Both teams shot well from behind the arc on the evening with BC finishing with a 42.9% to 41.2% advantage.
- The Cougars' bench outscored Brooklyn's 47-28.
- Kean's Ethan Stith scored a team-high 18 points off of the bench to lead three other double-figure scorers.
For the Bulldogs
- Dale's season-high in scoring came on 12-22 shooting from the floor including 4-7 from behind the arc. He also came up with three steals.
- Sophomore guard, D'aze Hunter, added nine points in six minutes played off of the bench.
