BROOKLYN, New York ----- Coming into Saturday afternoon's game, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team was riding a two-game win streak, and looking to close out their homestand against Smith College, the tenth-ranked team in the nation. After keeping it close like previous matches, the game would slowly slip away, ultimately falling 73-46. The Bulldogs fell to 5-3 overall, while Smith College improved to 7-1 overall.

The game started off very close, as Brooklyn would take a 6-4 lead four minutes into the first quarter, but Smith would go on a 15-2 run with 2:45 to go, taking a 19-8 lead that would eventually be 24-13
