Brooklyn, NY----Despite playing the defending CUNYAC Champions closely in the early goings of every set, the Brooklyn College would eventually be outlasted by Baruch College, 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-13) on Saturday at the West Quad Gymnasium. Brooklyn drops to 4-7 overall and 0-2 in CUNYAC with the loss while the Bearcats improve to 5-6 and 1-0. Next Up: The Bulldogs travel to Lehman on Tuesday to continue conference play at 6pm.
How It Happened
- Brooklyn jumped out to a 3-0 lead to start the match before Baruch responded with a three-point rally themselves. The Bulldogs would lead by as many as four points on two different occasions before the Bearcats went on a 7-0 rally to take the lead for good and take the set.
- Trailing 4-0 to start the second set, the Bulldogs chipped away at the Baruch lead and eventually grabbed a 12-11 advantage on an ace served up by Tommy Min. Baruch retained the lead for good with a three-point rally the Bulldogs wouldn't be able to recover from.
- Brooklyn jumped out to a 2-0 lead to start the third set before Baruch went on a 6-0 run to claim the lead for good and close out the match.
