Bronx, NY----The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-22) decision in conference play at Lehman College on Tuesday. BC moves to 4-8 overall and 0-3 in CUNYAC while the Lightning improves to 5-5 and 2-2 respectively. Next Up: The Bulldogs have a week to prepare for York College at home on March 7 at 6pm.
How It Happened
- The home team jumped out to a 5-0 lead to start the match. Brooklyn chipped away at the Lehman lead and eventually grabbed a 17-16 advantage. However, the Lightning rallied for six straight scores down the stretch before closing out the first set with a 3-0 run.
- Lehman used two five-score rallies toward the beginning of the second set to force Brooklyn to play catch-up. Brooklyn's late run was cut short by an attacking error for Lehman's last point.
- Despite trailing 10-4 to start the third set, the Bulldogs battled back and took a 17-16 lead. Already leading 21-20, the Lightning kept the Bulldogs at bay with back-to-back scores before closing out the match on a BC attack error.
